PART TWO: GOVCamp
The City collects all kinds of data (about parks, accidents, health issues, property, pollution, etc.) that can be used to create problem solving tools for making Memphis more livable. What kinds of applications can YOU imagine?
The afternoon GovCamp will preview the City of Memphis available public data, and give participants a chance to prioritize what data sets should be released and brainstorm about what kinds of tools can be created to make that data accessible to the public. Use the examples from the morning to inspire what can be done here!

1:00pm-4:00pm GovCamp
Governments across the country have been making data sets open and available to all citizens, and we'd like to bring that trend to Memphis. So what does that mean to you? Innovative citizens can do extraordinary things with this this kind of data! What are some cool things the City of Memphis and its citizens can do with all this information? Well, that’s the point of GovCamp...city officials will present data that could be made available. Then, citizens will have their chance to apply that data in open and innovative ways.
